This is our second full day in Florida. Today we head off to Jensen Beach where Sheldon and Kirstin are getting married and the wedding festivities will kickoff tonight with a picnic.

I want to recap the first two days because I know the next two will be filled with lots of wedding photos.

Lil B was so great on the flight over, we had two legs. He was a bit antsy on the second flight but was a little trooper. Having his own seat was a really good idea.

When we landed we headed straight over to Shel’s house to say “Hi” then went to our rental in Juno. Our rental is fabulous with private access to the beach (just across a quiet street and you are there). We then headed back to Shel and Kirstin’s where Shel made BBQ turkey meatballs, BBQ garlic and butter oysters and homemade smoked fish dip – holy yumminess!

This morning, Aunt GZ and I took a walk along the beach and saw a school of fish spanning at least 40 yards. I spoke to a swimmer and an older couple who said the fish make this trek every year and by the end of October the school is very small (natures ecosystem). It was amazing.

The beaches here have shells too! Something you don’t find on the west coast anymore. Something I find very sad. I hope that I will get to collect seashells with Lil B one day like I did with my mom when I was young. My fear is that there will not be many beaches with shells left.

When I got back to the house I went to wash my feet off in the outdoor shower and I heard a knocking on the wood inside. I looked down to find one of the largest toads I have ever seen in my life.

It is really wonderful here, even the humidity. It is not that this place is so beautiful but there is a good feeling I have here. The beaches are my style. Grass growing out of the soft sand with wide desolate beaches with the exception of seashells, kelp and beach crabs the size of a small wrist. The water is always a cool temperature.

I hope one day to live here.
