Tonight when I put Lil B to bed we did our normal routine of bathtime, reading and saying goodnight to family and friends in his picture book…but two new things happened.

When we got to the mirror on the last page of the friends and family picture book he pulled the mirror page to him and was trying to give his reflection a hug. And then he would pull it closer and farther from his eyes…trying to figure out how this little baby was moving inside this book. It was so utterly sweet and amazing.

Then, as if that wasn’t enough cuteness, he looked up at me and then pointed to his little toiletry bag – he was pointing to the brush. I pulled it out questioning whether that is truly what he wanted and he seemed pleased by the smile on his face…so I brushed his hair and he had a smile from ear to ear and the expression on his face was pure elation. I brushed the top and sides of his hair and he seemed to be content with just that amount of. brushing. When I was done he turned around and gave me a hug which signaled that he was now ready to go to sleep. It was so amazing.

Every day is something new, I am just so proud of him.

Someone is definitely getting used to his hooded towel, loving the extra head treatment.
